The Agro Fundulea agricultural farm required a complete set of utility metalwork: 2 access gates for large agricultural machinery (7m opening), fencing for storage areas, equipment racks and a 200sqm metal shelter. The budget was limited and all pieces needed to withstand intensive operating conditions.

Solutie
We designed all structures using standard hot-rolled profiles and heavy plate, prioritising durability and ease of maintenance over aesthetics. The access gates received robust lower guides with cast steel rollers, and the fencing was built from BRC welded mesh panels. The shelter uses simple portal frames with trapezoidal sheet cladding.

Rezultat
The entire package was delivered and installed in 4 weeks, at 12% under the initial budget estimate. After one year of intensive use, the client confirms that no repairs or maintenance interventions have been necessary. The farm has recommended us to 3 other agricultural operations in the area, generating additional contracts.
Agricultural and utility projects represent an important part of our work, demonstrating that technical rigour and cost efficiency can coexist. The Agro Fundulea farm, located 30km from Bucharest, operates across 500 hectares and requires robust metal infrastructure for daily operations.
The access gates, each with a 7-metre opening, are dimensioned for the passage of combine harvesters and tractors with wide implements. The structure of 100x60x4mm rectangular hollow section with diagonal bracing provides rigidity against deformation caused by wind or accidental manoeuvres. The guide system uses 150mm cast steel rollers on machined steel axles, guaranteeing reliable operation even in muddy or freezing conditions.
The 280 linear metre perimeter fence is constructed from BRC welded mesh panels (200x50mm, 5mm wire) mounted on 76mm round tube posts, set in 50x50x80cm concrete foundations. This solution offers an excellent cost-to-performance ratio and a service life exceeding 20 years with hot-dip galvanised protection.
The 200sqm metal shelter, with a portal frame structure using IPE 180 sections and T40 trapezoidal sheet cladding of 0.5mm thickness, protects machinery from the elements. Galvanised sheet gutters and downpipes complete the rainwater collection system.
