Stainless Steel Interior Staircase Railing
This project involved the design and installation of a stainless steel railing for a two-level interior staircase in a duplex apartment in Cluj-Napoca. The minimalist design chosen by the client emphasizes clean lines and visual transparency, allowing natural light to flow freely through the space.
We used AISI 304 stainless steel round tube with a 42.4mm diameter for the handrail and 12mm tube verticals spaced at 100mm intervals, in compliance with safety regulations. All joints were made using TIG welding with argon shielding, producing flawless beads with no porosity.
The chosen finish was satin (brushed), achieved through mechanical processing with 320-grit abrasive belt. The result is an elegant, low-maintenance railing that integrates harmoniously with the solid oak treads and white walls of the space.
