Industrial Hall Metal Frame Structure
This project involved the fabrication and erection of the load-bearing steel structure for an 800sqm production hall located in the Tetarom industrial park in Cluj-Napoca. The structure was designed in accordance with Eurocode 3 and verified by a licensed structural engineer.
We fabricated 12 portal frames using HEA 300 profiles for columns and IPE 400 for main beams, with a clear span of 20 metres and a usable height of 6 metres. Bracing consists of 120x60x5mm rectangular hollow sections arranged in X-configuration in both directions. All critical joints were made using MAG welding with SG2 solid wire, inspected through ultrasonic non-destructive testing.
Erection was completed in 8 working days using a 50-tonne crane, following the approved erection plan. The structure was primed and painted with a C3 anti-corrosion protection system in accordance with ISO 12944, ensuring a minimum durability of 15 years.
