Metal Pergola with Adjustable Louvres

This bioclimatic pergola was designed for the terrace of a home in Oradea, providing a sheltered outdoor relaxation area protected from sun and rain. The structure combines the robustness of steel with the functionality of adjustable aluminium louvres.

The posts and main beams are fabricated from 120x120x4mm steel rectangular hollow section, powder coated in RAL 7016 (anthracite grey). The adjustable louvres, made from extruded aluminium with a 200mm width, are electrically operated via a Somfy motor with remote control and an integrated rain sensor. When fully closed, the louvres provide watertight sealing through EPDM gaskets.

The covered area measures 5x4 metres, with two rows of posts for optimal stability. Rainwater collection gutters are integrated into the lateral beams, draining through the interior of the posts to the drainage system. LED lighting is mounted within the beam profiles, providing a pleasant ambiance on summer evenings.
