Modern Design Spiral Metal Staircase

This spiral staircase was designed as the centrepiece of a loft converted from an industrial space in Timisoara. The design combines industrial aesthetics with modern functionality, featuring an outer diameter of 1.8 metres and a total height of 3.2 metres.

The main structure is built from 219mm round tube with 8mm wall thickness for the central column, while the treads are fabricated from 5mm checker plate welded onto UNP 80 profile brackets. The railing is integrated into the structure, with 33.7mm round tube balusters and a continuous handrail made from 50x10mm flat bar, hot-curved to shape.

The entire construction was prepared by SA 2.5 sandblasting, primed with zinc and coated with polyurethane paint in two shades: RAL 9005 (jet black) for the structure and RAL 1021 (yellow) for the handrail, creating a striking visual contrast typical of industrial aesthetics.
